All across Germany volunteers are dedicating their free time to food-saving. Their activities are coordinated by the initiative “Lebensmittelretten” (“Saving food”) which is one of the key case studies of TESS. In their current edition the magazine “Oya – anders denken. anders leben” (Think different. Live different) on sustainable lifestyle has dedicated an interesting article on the work of this initiative (in German). It describes a typical day in the life of a food-saver and nicely illustrated the work of the initiative. Go find out what food-saving is all about and why not only the TESS-researchers think this initiative is worth a closer look.
