TESS arose from the collaboration of an interdisciplinary consortium of eight organisations from six European countries (Finland, Germany, Italy, Romania, Spain, UK). The consortium included research institutes, universities as well as two SMEs.
As a consortium, TESS created the opportunity to bring together social and natural science expertise and significant experience in multi- and interdisciplinary research settings. The partners have expertise in: climate change impacts, policy analysis and evaluation, integrated assessment methods, systems analysis; regional policies and urban planning; economic geography; environmental and urban sociology; cultural anthropology, rural geography, community development, environmental psychology and environmental policy; data visualisation and communication.
The members of the consortium are experts at a variety of scales, including neighbourhood, city, regional, and virtual. In addition they have experience engaging with policymakers at the municipal, state, national, and supra-national level.
TESS has received funding from the European Community’s Seventh Framework Programme under Grant Agreement No. 603705.
